This rail project will bring many benefits to Oman. Firstly, it will bring economic benefits. It will create employment opportunities – about 30,000 jobs in total. A single freight train can carry the same load as 300 trucks but it can make the same journey in a much faster time. Therefore, trains have a great advantage over trucks concerning time and cost.

This means that, by taking the train, you can avoid the stress of driving through traffic – you can just sit and relax on the train.
