تنظيم المقال
القاعدة (Top Tip من الكتاب):
“A well-organised essay helps your readers understand your ideas better. In a narrative essay, the sequence of events must be clear and logical. The introduction is important too. If you don’t introduce the subject clearly, your reader may not wish to continue reading!”
بالعربي:
المقال المنظم جيداً يساعد القارئ على فهم أفكارك بشكل أفضل. في المقال القصصي (Narrative Essay)، يجب أن يكون تتابع الأحداث (Sequence of Events) واضحاً ومنطقياً. المقدمة مهمة أيضاً – إذا لم تقدّم الموضوع بوضوح، فقد لا يريد القارئ الاستمرار في القراءة!
عناصر التنظيم الجيد:
- مقدمة واضحة تجذب القارئ وتعرّف بالسياق
- تتابع منطقي للأحداث (ترتيب زمني – Chronological Order)

“My wife doesn’t like cooking very much. She enjoys eating out in restaurants – the more expensive, the better. So I often take her out for meals. It costs me a fortune, but it keeps her happy.”

“I tried to explain that it was all a misunderstanding, but he wouldn’t listen. He looked as if he was going to hit me. So we paid our bill quickly and left.”

زوجتي لا تحب الطبخ كثيراً. تستمتع بتناول الطعام في المطاعم – وكلما كانت أغلى، كان أفضل. لذا أصحبها كثيراً لتناول الطعام. يكلفني هذا ثروة، لكنه يجعلها سعيدة.
C (بداية القصة):
في إحدى الأمسيات الشهر الماضي، ذهبنا إلى مطعم مأكولات بحرية فاخر في بلدتنا. طلبنا طعامنا وأتى النادل بوجبتنا. كنا قد بدأنا في تناول الطعام للتو عندما دخل زوجان شابان مع طفلين صغيرين ورضيع.
B (تطور الأحداث):
جلست العائلة على الطاولة المجاورة لنا. على الفور بدأ الرضيع بالبكاء وبدأ الأطفال بالركض في كل مكان. لكن الوالدين لم يبذلا أي جهد للسيطرة عليهم.

Paragraph 1 (Introduction):
Every year during Ramadan, my family looks forward to having Iftar together at a nice restaurant at least once. Last year, we decided to try a new hotel buffet that everyone had been talking about.
Paragraph 2 (Setting):
We had booked a table for six people two weeks in advance, as the restaurant was very popular during Ramadan. When we arrived just before sunset, the restaurant was already extremely crowded, and there was a long queue at the buffet table.
Paragraph 3 (Development):
We waited patiently for almost 45 minutes in the queue. By the time we reached the front, however, many of the dishes had already run out. When I politely asked a waiter if more food was coming, he simply shrugged and walked away without answering.
Paragraph 4 (Turning Point):
My younger brother, who hadn’t eaten anything all day because of fasting, became very upset and started crying from hunger and disappointment. At that moment, the restaurant manager noticed what was happening and came over to our table.
